2014 Don Oliver Youth Sport Foundation Awards Dinner

This year 15 outstanding young West Auckland sports people were awarded sports scholarships in the name of late, great Olympic weightlifter, Don Oliver.

 

A crowd of 200 local business people, sports enthusiasts and supporters watched and were inspired by some amazing achievements by our young Waitakere athletes.  Entertained by the masterful Billy Graham as the keynote speaker and enthralled by an interview with guest star LAuren Boyle, gold medal winner in teh Commonwealth Games 2014, the crowd of dignitaries, Scholarship recipients, Glasgow Commonwealth games athletes had a fantastic evening throughout.

 

The live and silent auctions along with table donatons raised another $7500 towards the development of the future West Auckland sports stars.
