
Cameron Gray
Achievements:
Cameron Gray is an elite New Zealand swimmer representing United Swimming Club and coached by Andy McMillan, competing under Swimming New Zealand. Racing in the Open division, Cameron is currently ranked #1 in New Zealand.
Cameron has established himself as one of the country’s leading freestyle swimmers on the international stage. He made his Aquablack debut in 2022, where he went on to win a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games and helped set a New Zealand Open Record as part of the relay team. That same year he competed at the World Championships, contributing a strong relay performance against the world’s best swimmers.
He has continued to perform consistently at the highest level, including competing at the World Championships and earning qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where he represented New Zealand. Domestically, Cameron has claimed multiple gold medals at the New Zealand Short Course Championships and continues to break national records in freestyle events.
Looking ahead, Cameron is focused on building consistency and refining his performance as he prepares to compete at the Swimming World Cup circuit, continuing his progression as one of New Zealand’s top international swimmers.
