Issys Tobia-Pita has firmly established herself as a rising star in the world of weightlifting, showcasing exceptional talent and determination on both national and international stages. Representing New Zealand with distinction, Issys’s standout performance at the Oceania's Juniors Weightlifting Championships in Apia, Samoa, earned her top honors in the Youth U76KGS category and a commendable second place in the Juniors U76KGS category, demonstrating her prowess and skill on the competitive platform. Back on home soil, Issys’s continued to impress, securing podium finishes at the NZ Nationals Weightlifting Championships, where she claimed second place in the Junior's category and a respectable fourth place in the Senior U76KGS division, further solidifying her status as a formidable competitor in the sport.

From being honoured with the Most Outstanding Achievement award in Weightlifting at the Avondale College Sports Awards to winning the Best Female Weightlifter title at the College Sports Awards, Tobia-Pita's dedication and excellence have been celebrated and recognized at both local and national levels.
