Athlete Report: TYLA NATHAN WONG - TOUCH RUGBY Feb 2014
In preparing for the 2013 Northern Regional Sevens Tournament held Hamilton in December with my Auckland Women’s Sevens team, I sustained a Lisfranc Injury to the bottom of my right foot. I was in a moon boot for 7 weeks then constant rehab and physio for another 5 weeks. I also missed the NZ Sevens Nationals in Rotorua in January during this period.
I had worked extremely hard after the World Cup in June 2013 to be ready for the IRB Women’s Sevens World Series 2013/2014. It was an extremely tough period; I had a lot of mixed emotions (a bit like a rollercoaster) for me to deal with personally.
The support of my family and NZ7’s Sisters got me through these tough and challenging times and I thank them for it.

I’m a little nervous heading into camp on Wednesday 5th February but excited at the same time.
