Lewis Hollows back from injury with a bang!

Young rowing sensation Lewis Hollows spent the last few months last year out of action due to a back injury that had the potential to criple his sporting career.

Thanks to some sound advice from coaches and supporters along with a lot of time on a stationary bike to keep fitness levels up, Lewis is back on the water and everyone knows it too!

The Banklink National Rowing Championships were held from 18-22 February at lake Karipiro and the DOYSF recipient tested the waters in a few events, solo and crew.

As part of the Auckland RPC (Rowing Performance Centre) crew he won GOLD in the U22 8's then GOLD in the U22 Quad. Topping off the weekend with a BRONZE in the U22 Singles proving that nothing can stop this man achieving his goals this year.

Lewis will be at Elite/U23 trials from 28 Feb - 6 March hoping to make a U23 NZ crew for 2014!

Thank you to Monique Hollows for the update.
