    Athlete Report - Benedict Chong Wong

    February 22nd:

    3rd at the Christchurch International Meet which was a senior meet, I was the youngest in the field and Valerie Adams was throwing in the same competition.

    March 1st

    1st Auckland Club Championships with throw of 18.11meters, which ranked me 1st in the world for that time. 14cm off world junior qualifying and nz leading throw by 2meters. It also ranks me 3rd in New Zealand All time history for U20 Mens.

    March 14th

    2nd Australian Junior Championships with 17.21meters

    March 28th – 30th

    New Zealand Track and Field National Championships

    1st U20 Junior Mens shotput with a throw of 17.13meters

    4th Senior mens shotput with a throw of 15.75meters only 7 centimeters of 3rd place, the youngest in the field.

    I am currently aiming to qualify for the World Junior Championships in July.
