Dion Smith heading to UCI World Championships

Bike NZ today confirmed a 10-strong team to contest the week long World Championships from 21-28 September in the small city of Ponferrada in northern Spain.

Dion Smith joins, amongst others, Jack Bauer, the Commonwealth Games silver medalist in the road race and Linda Villumsen who won gold in the womens time-trial in Glasgow.

Dion will be competing with fellow stateside based athlete James Oram in both the U23 road race and time-trial events.
