All high-performance athletes are at injury risk and diver Abraham Li, has spent part of the last year sidelined with a back injury.  Nevertheless, as his first big overseas event, he represented NZ at the 2022 Fina World Junior Diving Championships in Montreal.
 
As a Boys B he competed in 3m, 1m, platform and team events and was part of the Kiwi team that place 7th  - New Zealand’s best team result.
 
He finished first in the Boys A group platform event at the Auckland Championships in February and bagged a qualifying place in the  Australian Junior Elite Diving Champs in Adelaide in July.
 
In May finished placed first for the Boys A platform event and 3rd for Men’s Open Platform event at the Diving NZ National  Champs
 
His current goal is to compete at the Oceania diving Champs at the end of the year.
