Halamalu Houma
Achievements:
Halamalu Houma is an elite heavyweight boxer representing WestCity Boxing and coached by Matt Grey, competing under the International Boxing Association (IBA). Competing in the Elite Men’s 92kg+ division, Halamalu is currently ranked #2 nationally and is a member of the Boxing New Zealand Development Squad.
Halamalu has achieved strong success in domestic competition, winning the North Island Golden Gloves title in the Elite Men’s 92kg+ division and representing Auckland in the Elite Men’s heavyweight category. He also earned silver at the Boxing New Zealand National Championships, establishing himself as one of the country’s top emerging heavyweight boxers.
His performances have led to selection for the Boxing New Zealand Development Squad in 2025, where he continues to develop his skills and compete at a high level within the national boxing pathway.
Halamalu remains focused on continuing to improve both inside and outside the ring, balancing high-performance training with personal development while aiming to achieve success at upcoming national competitions and progress further in elite boxing.
