For 25 years West Auckland pre elite athletes have been receiving Don Oliver Youth Sport Foundation Sports Scholarships. Each year athletes who show promise are given a helping hand by the great support of the people of West Auckland.

In 2018 Don Oliver Youth Sports Foundation created The Harry O’Rourke Memorial Scholarship. An award granted each year for an outstanding athlete with a disability.
