A very bright star in the making, Mia is New Zealand 2x u20 400m national champion (2022&2023). Born in England and now living here, she is the country’s top under 20 400m specialist and at 17, already fourth in the women’s open 400m standings.
 
She is one of four Don Oliver scholars to be selected for the Athletics NZ Performance Development Squad
 
She was also selected to represent NZ at the U20 World Championship, in Cali, Colombia, where she won a semi final place against international competition.
 
She was a championship-setting record setting gold medalist at the New Zealand Secondary Schools comp this season, 2nd in the 400m U20 in the Australian Nationals where she ran a PB of  54.35 (making the Sydney Olympic track her favourite.
 
Mia holds the Auckland u18 and u20 400m record and has the New Zealand u20 record in her sights. and was also selected in the NZ high performance development squad.
 
She will be travelling with the NZ team, spending a week in Miami prior to the competition, training with the Australian team.
